Mailing Lists

Currently there are two mailing lists set up:

courier-users - an unmoderated mailing list for questions, bug reports, and comments regarding the Courier mail server, including all of its components (but see below). Go to http://lists.sourceforge.net/mailman/listinfo/courier-users to subscribe to courier-users, or send a message to <courier-users-request@lists.sourceforge.net> and put "subscribe" in the subject line.

courier-announce - a read-only, low volume, list for administrative messages only (such as new releases, bug fixes, et al). Go to http://lists.sourceforge.net/mailman/listinfo/courier-announce to subscribe to courier-announce, or send a message to <courier-announce-request@lists.sourceforge.net> and put "subscribe" in the subject line.

In addition to courier-users and courier-announce there are two additional mailing lists for individual Courier components only.

The SqWebMail mailing list is for the standalone version of Courier's Webmail server. To subscribe, send a blank message to <sqwebmail-subscribe@inter7.com>.

The maildrop mailing list, courier-maildrop, is for the standalone version of Courier's mail filter, maildrop. Go to http://lists.sourceforge.net/mailman/listinfo/courier-maildrop to subscribe to courier-maildrop, or send a message to <courier-maildrop-request@lists.sourceforge.net> and put "subscribe" in the subject line.

Virus scanners

There is some support for Courier in several virus scanners. The following information may or may not be out of date.

NOTE:

Be sure to check the documentation of your virus scanner for the specific versions of Courier that the vendor has certified their product with. Courier's virus-scanning API is generally stable, and it does not change frequently. In fact, it hasn't changed at all, since its inception. However, it's always possible that technical reasons may require an API change at some point in the future, so it is important to determine which versions of Courier the vendor has tested their scanner against.
